Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 2026
At Anchor Allied Health (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we recognize the importance of your privacy and understand your concerns about the security of your personal information. We are committed to complying with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website, whether you are a Provider listing your services or a User searching for care.
Important Note on Public Directory Data
For Providers: The primary purpose of this platform is to act as a public directory. By registering, you acknowledge that the professional information you provide (Name, Clinic Address, Phone, Bio, and Availability) is intended to be publicly visible and indexed by search engines.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 From Providers
- Account Data: Name, email address, password, and billing information.
- Public Profile Data: Clinic address, business phone number, professional biography, headshot, logo, and qualifications.
- Verification Data: AHPRA, AASW, or SPA registration numbers (used for verification purposes only).
- Availability Status: Real-time capacity indicators (e.g., “Immediate Availability,” “Waitlist”).
1.2 From Users (Patients/Searchers)
- Usage Data: Search queries (e.g., “Psychologist in Brisbane”), filters used, and profiles viewed.
- Location Data: If you grant permission, we use your browser’s geolocation to show providers near you. This data is processed locally and not stored permanently on our servers.
- Device Data: IP address, browser type, and operating system for security and analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To Provide the Service: Displaying Provider profiles to Users based on search criteria.
- Verification: ensuring that all listed Providers hold valid professional registration.
- Communication: Sending transaction receipts, renewal notices, and platform updates to Providers.
- Improvement: Analyzing search trends (e.g., “High demand for Telehealth in Queensland”) to improve our platform features.
- Security: Monitoring for fraudulent activity or misuse of the directory.
3. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. However, we may share information in the following circumstances:
- Public Visibility: As a directory service, Provider profile information is published openly on the internet.
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party processors for payments (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) and email delivery. These providers adhere to strict privacy standards.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a subpoena or to report a serious threat to public safety.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including SSL encryption (HTTPS) for all traffic. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to enhance your experience. These are small text files stored on your device that remember your preferences (such as your last map search location). You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the map may not function correctly.
6. Accessing and Correcting Your Information
Providers: You can access, update, or delete your profile information at any time by logging into your Provider Dashboard.
Users: Since we do not require user registration for searching, we generally do not hold personal records for searchers. If you have contacted us directly, you may request access to that correspondence.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
